Welcome to our 13th Scholarship Student
We would like to introduce to you our 13th scholarship student, Veasna . We are supporting Veasna, who is 19, to continue high school in his own village. It is wonderful to be able to help Veasna stay with his family and still be able to continue with his education. That is our aim: determining what each person needs, one solution doesn’t fit all ! We welcome Veansna to our family.
Beyond a small community
It was with great pleasure that Jake wrote an article for the Riverstone & District Historical Societies' journal this year.
“…. although we are born in a small community, it can be used to lift us up and support us as we reach beyond our current realm and forge a path into success that is completely unexpected”
The journal has some great local stories in it including ANZAC Day and the life of Ken Magennis. The journal is available for $10 from the Museum in Riverstone (which is a wonderful place to wonder around) and is opened the first Sunday of the month or let us know and we can organize to get one for you. A huge thank you to the Museum for their wonderful support.

Jake doing what he loves the most - talking!! :)
Jake was invited to speak at a local business networking meeting where he spoke about striving to reach your potential and the importance of collaboration between local business and small scale charities. A great day and a big thanks to Lisa and David for inviting us to share the 1step1life journey! :)
